Atlet Forklifts History

Above on the page there're some Service PDF Manuals, Electric Wiring Diagrams & Error Codes DTC for ATLET Forklift Trucks.

The founder of Atlet Forklifts Knut Jacobsson, a logistics specialist, worked for Volvo before starting his own company.

Many of his ideas for optimizing the movement of cargo were put into practice and benefited the company.

Over time, he outgrew the scope of a logistics engineer.

Wanting to create new machines for intra-warehouse handling, in 1958 he founded his own company in Gothenburg (Sweden).

In 1960 it was named Atlet.

Revolutionary novelties Atlet forklift trucks.

In 1961, the first of the innovative ideas was embodied in metal - a stacker with an operator standing in the cab.

Jacobson combined the advantages of a reach truck (protected operator, small dimensions) and a stacker with a platform (low price and metal consumption).

The transfer of the operator's seat inside the stacker body reduced the allowable width of the inter-rack aisles.

This increased the useful area of the warehouse by 15%.

Atlet Telescopic forks.

Allows you to put 2 pallets in depth on each side of the rack instead of one (paired rows of racks).

Thus, it is possible to reduce the number of inter-shelf aisles by 2 times (that is, reduce the warehouse area) while maintaining the same capacity.

Atlet order picker with operator lift.

This machine became the ancestor of a new class of warehouse equipment.

With its help, the selection of orders is carried out directly at the place of storage of goods, and not only on the floor.

Atlet is especially proud of its tilted reach truck masts.

The rear tilt of the mast brings the load closer to the center of gravity of the reach truck for better stability.

The forward tilt brings the back of the fork close to the pallet.

Its center of gravity will coincide with the loading center of the forks (600 mm).

This will not be hindered even by the cargo protruding into the aisle on the lower tier, which makes it difficult to drive up to the rack.

Atlet has another feature that is rarely seen in our time. All masts and landing gear are produced only in Sweden, at the plant in Gothenburg.

The supply of assembled power elements from other manufacturers is not practiced here. That's why Atlet is so confident in the quality of his technique.
