Datsun Cars & Trucks History

Above on the page there're some Service PDF Manuals & Electric Wiring Diagrams for DATSUN Pick-up Trucks.

The history of Datsun company began over a century ago: in 1911, when it was established under the name Kaishin Sha Motor Works.

Three years later, the manufacturer released the first car, which was called DAT-GO or DAT-Car.

The abbreviation DAT was made up of the first letters of the names of the owners of the company: Kenjiro Den, Rokuro Aoyama and Meitaro Takeuchi.

In addition, they reflected the overall philosophy of the brand's carsand pickup trucks, which included three important components: Durable, Attractive, Trustworthy.

In 1918, the company was renamed Kwaishinsha Motor Car Co., Ltd.

At this time, the range of the brand included not only cars, but also trucks, which were in great demand.

In the same year, the company began to assemble trucks for military purposes.

However, in 1920, the demand for them fell, so the management thought about joining other manufacturers.

In 1925, the name changed again, this time to DAT Jidosha & Co.,Ltd, and the following year the company merged with Jitsuyo Jidosha Co.,Ltd and became DAT Jidosha Seizo Co.,Ltd.

In 1930, the Japanese authorities allowed cars with an engine of less than 500 cm3 to be driven without obtaining a license, so the manufacturer began working on a model in which this figure was 495 cm3.

Three years later, such a car was actually released and began to be sold under the Datsun brand.

Before that, in 1931, the company became a subsidiary of Tobata Casting Co.,Ltd.

Thus began the history of the Datsun brand, which was used for more than half a century - from 1931 to 1986.

This brand was able to win the trust of drivers, and the cars and pickup trucks that were produced under it gained a reputation for high-quality, reliable and functional solutions.

In 2013, the brand became part of the Nissan concern, which resumed the production of Datsun cars and pickup trucks.

Today, this brand embodies accessibility to a wide audience of buyers, which is combined with aesthetic design, high technology and efficiency of cars.

Datsun offers comfortable models that are convenient for both drivers and passengers.

Thanks to their attractive appearance, they stand out on the road and always attract attention.
