Terex AC 40/2 Truck Cranes Features

Above on the page there're some Service PDF Manuals with Electric Wiring Diagrams & Fault Codes DTC for TEREX Truck Cranes.

Terex also produces articulated and off-road trucks.

Terex machines under the name AC 40/2 (as well as AC 40/2L) are self-propelled off-road truck cranes with a 4 * 4 wheel arrangement, which are designed to carry out the widest range of tasks, regardless of from road and climatic conditions.

The truck crane was officially presented to the public in October 2008 at the SAIE international exhibition, and shortly after this event, its mass production began.

The total length of the Terex 40/2 truck crane does not exceed 10684 mm (excluding crane equipment - 8456 mm), the width extends to 2250 mm, the height does not exceed 3400 mm, and the distance between pairs of wheels fits into 3550 mm.

When equipped, the truck crane weighs from 24,000 to 25,600 kg (depending on modification), and its load capacity is 40,000 kg.

The basic version of the Terex 40/2 truck crane has a main boom capable of lifting loads from 9.4m to 30.4m and an optional 8m jib.

Terex 40/2L variant is a little more capable - its main equipment "flies" to a height of up to 37.4 meters.

The truck crane is driven by a 6.4-liter Daimler-Chrysler OM 906 LA six-cylinder diesel engine with a turbocharger, direct injection and aftercooler, which generates 279 horsepower (205 kW) at 2200 rpm and 1100 Nm of torque at 1600 rpm minute.

It works in conjunction with an automatic transmission with six front and two reverse powershift gears, as well as four-wheel drive with locking center differentials.

The Terex AC 40/2 truck crane can reach speeds of 80 km/h forward and 12.1 km/h in reverse.

For every 100 km, the truck crane uses about 36 liters of diesel fuel (the volume of fuel tanks it has is 120 liters).

The basis for the American truck crane is a monoblock frame made of high-strength steel with integrated supports, on which a steel cabin with safety glazing is mounted by means of rubber spacers.

Both axles of the machine are equipped with hydropneumatic suspension with hydraulic locks and automatic or manual leveling, as well as wheels with a dimension of 14.00 R25.

By default, the Terex AC 40/2 truck crane boasts an air brake system with disc devices and ABS, as well as hydraulic power steering.
