History Cesab Forklifts

Above on the page there're some Service Repair PDF Manuals with Electric Wiring Diagrams CESAB Forklift Trucks.

The history of the company dates back to 1942.

It was then that a small enterprise began operating in the Italian city of Bologna, specializing in the production of warehouse equipment - forklift trucks and other equipment.

It is noteworthy that Cesab became the first Italian manufacturer of this type of equipment.

In 1948, the company reached a new level and began to produce products for the maintenance of railways.

All this time, the active economic growth of the enterprise continued, which ultimately led to the occupation of Cesab as a leader in the supply of its equipment to Italian enterprises.

In some cases, it was cheaper than foreign analogues, while not inferior in terms of technical characteristics and performance.

In 1951, Cesab engineers produced the first electric forklift truck.

Its appearance was a consequence of the growing demand for environmentally friendly equipment for food production.

The released electric forklift truck turned out to be successful in all respects.

The number of sales was constantly growing, because the truck, equipped with a capacious battery, worked all day, and it took 11 hours to charge the battery.

In 1954, a forklift with a diesel engine appears.

Due to the increase in fuel prices, economical vehicles with diesel internal combustion engines gradually began to dominate the domestic market.

At the same time, Cesab is exporting special equipment to other European countries.

Already by the 90s, the company became the main supplier of warehouse equipment in Italy.

At the end of the 20th century, Cesab entered into cooperation with Pininfarina, a new range of forklift trucks appeared, in the future the company strengthened its position in the Italian market, opened its branches in a number of European countries - in Germany, France.

Already by this moment, the Italian corporation has become a leader in the production of reliable, convenient and unpretentious warehouse equipment.

At the beginning of the new millennium, a large number of equipment from Asia appears on the European market.

The devices made by Japanese specialists were most valued.

With the advent of the Asian alternative, some shortcomings of Cesab's equipment began to be felt, in particular, quality control that was not high enough to take into account the ever-growing requirements.

So in 2009, the management of the corporation decides to create a consortium with further becoming part of Toyota.

This allows Cesab to optimize its production capacity according to Japanese standards.

Japanese investment allowed for improved quality control in production.
