Mahindra Navistar Trucks Features

Above on the page there're some Service PDF Manuals & Electrical Wiring Diagrams for MAHINDRA Trucks.

The newly formed joint venture, this time an Indian-American one, is called Mahindra Navistar: it is 49% owned by the Americans.

Interestingly, until now, Mahindra has not been engaged in the production of heavy trucks, although an agreement on the creation of a joint venture for the production of heavy trucks with International (as Navistar was previously called) was signed in 2005.

But only now at the plant, built "in an open field", the production of machines of the latest Mahindra MN series should begin.

What's American here? It looks like only common rail injection Maxxforce engines will be assembled in India.

At the same time, Maxxforce motors are basically not American, but German (this is a joint product with MAN).

With a load capacity of 15 tons, the Mahindra Navistar MN25 truck develops only 210 hp.

But the design and characteristics of the trucks themselves, not to mention the design, are typically Indian.

Suffice it to say that with a total mass of a road train of 50 tons, an engine with a working volume of 7.2 liters develops only 260 hp.

Therefore, the maximum speed indicated in the technical specifications is only 74 km / h.

You can imagine how much a loaded truck will accelerate to it!

But the company claims that drivers will be provided with "unprecedented comfort."

Despite the fact that the width of the sleeping shelves is 50 cm, the length of the lower shelf is 178 cm, and the upper one is even less - 175 cm.

The design of Mahindra Navistar trucks turned out to be unusual, to put it mildly.

The newly formed joint venture is going to take 15-20% of the Indian heavy truck market in five years.

The main thing is that they should not be exported to more civilized countries.
